Description
The third annual Buffalo Zombie Walk will depart from Bidwell Park and make its epic crawl down Elmwood Avenue to Days Park.

Notes:
-Yes, it's on Halloween this year.
- Don't go up to cars and start rocking them/hitting them/climbing on top of them.
- By that same virtue, don't run into the street while traffic is going.
- Some businesses enjoy the Zombie Walk, but some will get pissed off if you go smearing your bloody face on their window.
- Pretty much just don't be a dbag.
- In response to last year's unusable fake blood debacle: if you have a tried-and-true recipe for fake blood, please send it over. For now, it's best to get gussied up before you get to the meeting spot.

Any questions/concerns/complaints can be directed to the e-mail address (imazombie@rocketmail.com).

Last saturday, myself and a couple friends went to the Niagara Aquarium. I like looking at the fishes (especially the sharks) and the octopus (which actually came out of hiding that day). One day I will go to South Africa and swim with the sharks (in a shark cage of course). Anyways I snapped a neat clown fish picture on my phone.

And then afterwards we decided to walk around Niagara Falls itself. It looked really cold all icy and snow covered. However it was very very cold. (Duh!). The picture was taken on Goat Island.

And now a crappy pictures of my cats.

Awww. They're so cute together.

Ok now I am done.....for now!

In the digital age I've discovered that most TV shows can be viewed online. I don't mean illegally either. A lot of networks show full episodes right on their wesites, commercials and all. This of course isn't something that just came about yesterday it's just that this has become note worthy to me since we no longer have dish or cable. So between the stuff I can watch online and the Netflix live streaming, I really don't miss the dish.

So last night as my brother played Fallout 3 (aka the best game ever!) I decided to watch some TV online. Now for the most part "reality TV" drives me crazy and I can't stand it. But every once in a great while a reality TV show comes by and I cannot stop watching to save my life and I have no explanation as to why. I would actually set my DVR, when we had one, to record them, oh the shame. The Smartest Model, Charm School, and A Shot of Love with Tila Tequilla are a few. However the show that I logged on the internet specifically for was none other then A Double Shot at Love with the Ikki Twins. Not only is this a bisexual dating show (as was the one with Tila), but both twins are "looking for love" among the same group of guys and girls. Now they claim that they are searching together so that they're potential S.O.s will get along with the other sister. But honestly I know that this is just a setup for chaos and I'm not disappointed.

As I am watching the show I become convinced that I am the best person in the world and I decide that I should totally be on a reality TV show. But then I realize that this would never happen because I just don't think I would cause enough drama for the ratings. Although maybe I could gather a small fan base who are just in love with my sad eyes or something.

Anyways, the whole show unfolds as to be expected, contestants making out, being caught, fighting, drunken goofiness, and the eating of bull man parts. This also includes the last episode where, surprise, both the twins fall in love with the same person, because nobody saw that coming.

So why can't I stop watching shows like this?

If I could figure out the answer to this question, I'd probably be able to end world hunger or fly or something cool like that because I would obviously be a superhero.

Fall out 3 collector's edition is now mine all mine, muhahaha. Well it is! I haven't played it yet. I want to finish Knights of the Old Republic first. This is because after I start playing Fallout 3 I will never be heard from again.

I really like Knights of the Old Republic. I'm a Jedi now. One of the characters in my party, Carth, was all flirty with my character. The dialog was so funny to me. Now I tell everybody that Carth is my Knights of the Old Republic boyfriend. I make sure to say Knight of the Old Republic boyfriend because people might think it's weird to say a game character is your boyfriend. Actually I'm pretty sure making that distinction doesn't really make me seem less crazy. Oh, yes, I'm very sad. At least I amuse myself.

Oh and btw... I hated the end of Fable 2. I hated the end so much that after I finished it I turned it off and never went back again. I couldn't make myself play any of the extra side quests and I didn't even go on a murderous rampage. I just quietly returned it. All I can say is the story of the first Fable was just better.

I worked later then usual last night and so by the time I got home and ate dinner it was already past 9PM. I tried watching more of The Office on Netflix but the internet was being so slow I couldn't do anything with it. I eventually gave up on it and went to bed at 10.

This morning when I got up I felt great. I was in such a good mood, even through it was snowing and I had to get up a little earlier. That extra hour or two of sleep totally made huge difference. Now this doesn't mean that I'm going to go to bed at 10 every night. In fact this tid bit of information will probably factor in very low up against more important things such as video game playing, tv/movie watching and drinking when it comes to determining when I should go to bed. However this does prove that being a morning person is not completely against every fiber of my being. Just maybe a few or so.

So
My lovely has died. That's right my perfect ps3 was not so perfect and it died. However my new xbox360 that I got for Christmas worked very well for pushing me through the mourning period.

I've been playing Fable 2 which has been pretty amusing. I'm a girl and I have 2 wives and one husband. My wives always want sex, but my husband not so much. Hmmm is the game trying to say that lesbians have more sex? I can't say for sure. But I will say that it's super funny to look at your family charts and see a little note that says "wife wants sex". Or at least it's funny the first thousand times, after that I started to ignore it. I also think it's funny that you can view the info on any of the random npc villages and right at the top it list gay, straight, lesbian or bisexual. Obviously this is because heroes are built with gaydar or some sort of psychic ability lol.

I, however, am the most excited about the game that is on it's way to me through the mail. That's right I have at this moment coming to me the collector's edition of the coolest game ever, Fallout 3. I love this game so much. This is the game I was playing when my ps3 died. I held off on buying it for a really long time (ok like month) because I really wanted to finish playing the game I started after I replaced my ps3 or fixed it. But after I thought about it for awhile I decided that by the time I got the ps3 fixed/replaced, it would have been so long I would have wanted to start over anyways. Also the collector's edition just happened to be marked down to the same price as regular one. Now I have the game with the super cute lunch box, a making of DVD, a box of art, and a bobble head pip boy. My brother has claimed the bobble head which is cool since he bought it for me just cause I asked pretty please. I just can't wait for it to get here. I have to finish Fable 2 first or I never will.

Also I've been watching Weeds and The Office. I love them both. The unlimited instant watch feature of Netflix that works with the xbox360 is such a great idea and I love it. We don't even have dish anymore and I haven't even noticed.

I also want to take this time to say how much I love The Office, especially Jim. I just started watching the 4th season.

In other news I'm still table top gaming, so you can stop worrying I haven't given that up. Right now the group I'm playing with is doing a Star Wars D20 game. which has been a lot of fun for me, even though despite all of my dorkiness I know almost nothing about Star Wars since I've never seen the original movies. I love my character!

I'm going to be starting a 4th ed D&D game soon. I'm suppose to be running so that's going to be different. I have an idea for a story but I don't think it will run for too long. I guess we'll see. I'm not even really sure when we're starting and how often we'll be able to play. Oh and as a random side note I want to learn more about Savage Worlds.

I'm having an After-Holiday party at my house on Friday so i'm going to be spending some time cleaning and shopping for it. I figure if I spread it out it won't seem so long. But I will probably end up putting it off till Thursday and Friday. Lol.

Folklore

So I finished me ratchet and Clank game. I'm actually half way through my second game.

I've now started playing folklore which is a really awesome game with awesome graphics. One of the cool things is that for a lot of the monsters or folk you have the beat. You have to do it in a certain way. So a lot of things are impossible to do unless you have the right powers. But the game tells you what you need to do in the form of these pages you have to gather. But you can't read them instead you have to decipher these cute little pictures that usually make no sense untill you see the monster or folk involved. I like it a lot. Even though I'm kind of stuck on this one big monster or as the game calls it folklore. It's just a neat action rpg.

On another note my computer has died. I do not know if I can bring it back I haven't had the time or energy to try but it does not look good. It seems like the hard drive is done but I'm not 100% sure it can't be saved. However as for anything having to do with the internet I have my blackberry pearl phone. So that's something at least.

My Lovely

So I get home last night to play my lovely ps3 aka my dream machine. And I turn it on super excited and the TV starts making this horrible noise and there's all these lines on the screen.

After much monkeying around and a call to my brother and friend. I realize that the last time I played the dish network wasn't working (it had been out for a week or so). Since then it had been fixed and mysteriously I cannot play the ps3 with the dish plugged in and vice versa.

Whether the dish and ps3 are messing with each other or my TV just can't handle all that stuff (it's only like a couple years old) I just don't know. I have two things to try: a different TV or dish tech support.

At least I figured out that I can play and watch TV I just can't have both plugged in at the same time even if they're both off and unplugged from the wall.

Weird right?

I love Iron Man!

He is so darn handsome. Especially in the red and gold suit. That's my favorite.

I really liked the movie. But I really like iron man even before the movie was even started. Which is way I was extra excited about it coming out.

Plus for anyone who hasn't seen it. There is a scene after the credits. Love it!

Ps. I'm not dead!

Hey, been a way for a while but that's is because wow stole my life as I explained before. I have a 25 level undead priest that does tailoring and enchanting and I have a 25 level undead rogue who mines and engineers. I totally have a mechanical squirrel that follows me around. So cute!

However I've been around here and there and have read quite a few post, sadly I posted very few comment so my apologies.

Gaming is still going on Tuesday nights! Our original game (the one that last almost a year or around a year) is official over (well at least for now). So right now we're only playing my game. I don't know how every one else feels about that but I say super fun! There are other games in the works but we'll see.

Only 18 more days until flarecarrot comes home. YAY! Good times all around, including more players for games and general happiness.

Also going to see Grindhouse either tomorrow or the next day. I can't wait!!

Anyways I wonder what I'm going to do for tonight’s game.......

WoW I can't believe that happened.

Well it has happened. I know I said it never would but it did and I love it.

I started playing...... world of warcraft.

Which explains where I've been, (well that and the extra time at work).

Right now I'm playing an undead priest almost level 14, don't remember what server I'm on though.

But I think I'm gonna try playing an undead rogue.

I just thought I'd mention this because I think a few of you on my friends list play too.

El Laberinto del Fauno and other fancies

  • Jan. 25th, 2007 at 1:50 PM

Well I watched Pan's Labyrinth last night. The spanish title sounds so much better though, El Laberinto del Fauno. It's based in Spain in 1944 and is entirely in Spanish with English subtitles. It's was written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, who for those of you who don't know he also directed Hell Boy (another movie that I love) and Blade II (which I also like). I really love these types of stories in movies, on tv, books, or any medium really. I love real fairy tales. Not to mention the scenery and the magical creatures look real. For example the fairies are greenish brown and they disguise themselves as bugs, as opposed to other fairy stories where the fairies all sparkly and pretty. The faun looked amazingly cool. You almost couldn't tell if he was suppose to be the bad guy because of how he looked. The overall story was good and the actors were awesome. Although I expected something a little different from what I saw of the previews (I expected more fairy tale/imaginary world submersion), I still loved it.

The movie reminded me a of game I wanted to run after I read the sample of the rpg "Don't Rest Your Head". I was thinking about buying the book, but after reading the demo I didn't really like/understand the rolling and the rules. I did however like the premise of the world and I thought of running a game in a world similar to that would be cool and watching this movie made me want to do that even more.

I did run my first game (well first game with people around the same age as me and not library kids) on Tuesday. It went okay, the first game is usually slow, even slower when you have 6 players. Hopefully the next game in two weeks will go a alot smoother because character introductions are over and little stories have begun. I think I'll post more about my game, so I can keep track of what's going on, but it'll probably be where the people playing it can't see, just in case I give anything away.

Also just a overview of what's filling up my dvr since a couple new series and episodes started up last week. New episodes of Heroes started Monday, if you didn't know that or have never heard of Heroes, you have to educate yourself, now. The same goes for Psych because new episodes started last friday. I've also started watching the new FX series DIRT, which is also very good. And another thing Sci-Fi has a new show "The Dresdon Files", which I assume is based on the book series by Jim Butcher because of the name and description, although I never got a chance to read it I just think it would be an awfully big coincidence if it wasn't. The first episode was last sunday, which I haven't watched yet, but I plan to. Of course I'm still watching new Mythbusters, catching reruns of House on two different stations, and new Family Guy and American Dad on Fox Sunday nights. So I guess you could say I'm successfully rotting my brain with tv.

And one more thing, I really want to catch up on all the new books I have. I'm still reading the Hitchhiker's Guide the the Universe Series, the Dead Witch Walking series, a couple books I borrowed/bought a months ago, and some new books for christmas. Not to mention the tons of graphic novels I have to read, including 4 new Petshop of Horrors and all the Marvel ones that I've borrowed/given (Including Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic 4, and tons more).

So wish me luck, and sorry for the long entry, but it was just building up. And for those people I haven't commented to in awhile, I promise I've been reading, I just haven't had time to comment, hopefully I will soon.

Zombies make me giggle, not really.
