In the digital age I've discovered that most TV shows can be viewed online. I don't mean illegally either. A lot of networks show full episodes right on their wesites, commercials and all. This of course isn't something that just came about yesterday it's just that this has become note worthy to me since we no longer have dish or cable. So between the stuff I can watch online and the Netflix live streaming, I really don't miss the dish.
So last night as my brother played Fallout 3 (aka the best game ever!) I decided to watch some TV online. Now for the most part "reality TV" drives me crazy and I can't stand it. But every once in a great while a reality TV show comes by and I cannot stop watching to save my life and I have no explanation as to why. I would actually set my DVR, when we had one, to record them, oh the shame. The Smartest Model, Charm School, and A Shot of Love with Tila Tequilla are a few. However the show that I logged on the internet specifically for was none other then A Double Shot at Love with the Ikki Twins. Not only is this a bisexual dating show (as was the one with Tila), but both twins are "looking for love" among the same group of guys and girls. Now they claim that they are searching together so that they're potential S.O.s will get along with the other sister. But honestly I know that this is just a setup for chaos and I'm not disappointed.
As I am watching the show I become convinced that I am the best person in the world and I decide that I should totally be on a reality TV show. But then I realize that this would never happen because I just don't think I would cause enough drama for the ratings. Although maybe I could gather a small fan base who are just in love with my sad eyes or something.
Anyways, the whole show unfolds as to be expected, contestants making out, being caught, fighting, drunken goofiness, and the eating of bull man parts. This also includes the last episode where, surprise, both the twins fall in love with the same person, because nobody saw that coming.
So why can't I stop watching shows like this?
If I could figure out the answer to this question, I'd probably be able to end world hunger or fly or something cool like that because I would obviously be a superhero.
